Occupation diet is a diet method or way of being introduced and developed by a physician and nutrition expert from France, the Dr.Pierre Dukan. Dukan Diet was formally introduced in the USA on 19 April 2011.Dukan Diet BasicsBasically, Dukan Diet asks you to eat foods that contain lots of protein, and limit all food containing or having elements of carbohydrates, including fruits, vegetables containing starch, legumes, and whole grains.Unlike the Atkins diet, the sources of low-fat protein such as fish, poultry, dairy products and reduce the emphasis on this diet.Diet consists of four phases of occupation eat differently that follow one another. The following phases that must be passed in the diet of occupation: 

Phase 1: The Attack Phase 
The first phase of the Dukan Diet followed regularly for one to ten days, depending on how much weight you want to put down.While undergoing this stage, you can expect to lose as much as 7 to 10 pounds in the first 5 days.During the course of this stage you only consume food that contains protein which may be added with spices that do not contain fat or carbohydrates such as vinegar, mustard, and salt.Calorie-free beverages such as water, coffee, tea, and diet soda are also allowed, and you can include one or two teaspoons of oatmeal every day.You are also warned that at this stage you may experience side effects such as bad breath and dry mouth, which can probably be reduced by increasing the drinking water. 

Phase 2: The Cruise Phase
In this stage, you are no longer just consuming foods containing protein, because vegetables are allowed.Types of vegetables are allowed in this stage are not limited to containing starch such as lettuce, spinach, celery, cucumber, asparagus, and tomatoes.The vegetables can be eaten in a raw state, boiled, made soup, or steamed.This stage should be undertaken until the target weight is reached. During the course of this stage, the maximum weight loss that can be expected is 2 pounds per week. 

Phase 3: The Consolidation Phase 
This phase is the maintenance phase and can only be started after the target weight is reached.In this stage, you are still in the underlying diet by foods that contain lots of protein and vegetables, and one serving of fruit and two slices of whole grain bread every day.In addition, you are also allowed to eat one meal per week of extra carbohydrate servings, which might be pasta or rice.In this stage, you are also allowed to perform 'celebration meal' each week, which can be increased to two times a week after being in phase 3 for some time. 

Phase 4: The Stabilization Phase 
This stage is the stage of ongoing lifestyle. In this stage you are instructed to return to eating as usual while continuing to apply the various rules contained in the Consolidation Phase.Once a week, you are instructed to only eat foods that contain protein.
